Though underscored by vibrant acidity, this distinctly sweet white displays toffee, butterscotch, walnut, orange zest and multi-grain toast aromas and flavors. Really pretty fruit here with currants and spices with some fresh flowers. Medium to full body. Fine tannins. Focused and real. From organically grown grapes. Give this three or four years to soften. Drink after 2026.

The 2022 Rosato Kómaros is airy and spicy, wafting up with a blend of crushed rocks, wild herbs and ginger-tinged berries. This is racy, sleek and full of zesty tension, with vibrant acidity guiding its mineral-tinged orchard fruits effortlessly across the palate. The 2022 cleans up beautifully through the finish, sizzling upon the senses with sour citrus.

The 2019 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is all class. Deep and sensual, the 2019 once again shows how magical this site is. A Barolo with no hard edges and tons of sensuality, the 2019 is positively stellar. Silky tannins wrap around a core of bright red-toned fruit. The purity of the flavors is remarkable. Sweet floral and spice notes lend tons of lift as the Rocche gains in dimension with time in the glass. Resonant, expansive and sensual to the core, the Rocche will thrill Vietti fans.

Fresh aromas of strawberry, rose and cherry and hints of wild herb are on the nose. The palate is lifted and vibrant with savory notes melding perfecting with the soft red berry notes, finishing with crushed stones and crisp acidity.

The 2020 Sor Ugo is packed with blackberry, cloves, leather, menthol, licorice and chocolate. Rich and resonant in the glass, with tons of energy, Sor Ugo has plenty to offer. The substantial, expansive finish is especially of note. I would prefer to drink this over the next decade or so.
